Reader’s Question:

I think I have heard so much about life insurance from agents in local life insurance companies in Miami FL. I would just like to know the major types to simplify my choices, and may I know what these types are?

Mitzi

Miami, FL

I guess too much spices will confuse one’s taste buds.

I agree with you in knowing the basics first for you to understand the other types. For starters, life insurance can be divided into two basic categories: Term Life insurance and Whole Life insurance. Each type offers advantages for individuals and it is important to understand the differences between the two types of life insurance when planning for your family’s future in Miami Florida.

Life insurance companies in Florida would offer generic features for a term life insurance policy. Usually, term life insurance provides coverage for a specific period of time or term. Policies may offer an initial term of 10, 15, 20 or 30 years and at the end of the initial term, the policy may be renewable for an additional number of years.

On the other hand, whole life insurance provides coverage for the entire life of the insured. This type also builds cash values that can be borrowed in the future with cash values that will grow to equal the amount of the death benefit at age 100.
I am sure you have an idea how much these types will cost you in Florida FL.

Just in case you do not have any clue with rates, you can get free quotes online. A number of good websites like this one will let you get access to free quotes…zero obligations! You can enter your zip code in the space above and you will answer a short questionnaire to assess you insurance needs and rates in Miami, Florida. Shopping for at least 5 quotes is the best thing you can do so you can get to compare rates before you purchase anything in Miami.

Miami Florida Life Insurance Help

Reader’s Question:

I have read a brochure for a health insurance policy here in Miami that says there’s “extra income” from it for those who purchase within the promo period. How can this be legally feasible?

Anne

Miami, FL

No way, Anne.

You better stay away from any health insurance company in Miami that use “extra income” or any of these terms in their ads: “tax free”, “extra cash”, “extra pay”. No one ever gets a profit from being hospitalized! And besides, health insurance policies are designed to cover medical expenses and not for an opportunity to earn profit. Positive sounding phrases, which are common to all insurance advertisements, are very misleading. It is still better to ask around first. The internet can be a great pool of information for all health insurance information you need. Unbiased reviews can also be found online. If you’re not sure about what you’re buying, then do not buy!

I remember an advertising phrase on a health insurance policy that says: “LOW COST”. In most cases I have heard for health insurance, you always get what you pay for. No such thing as exceptional low-cost when it comes to the insurance and if it happens, there are usually limitations…which is for you to find out because most health insurance agents will not mention these just to close a deal. Something is definitely wrong for low cost health insurance which does not have any limitations. I’d rather suggest you insist explanation for every limitation…and move ahead if you are not satisfied with such limitations…especially you definitely can’t skimp for a health insurance policy.

Miami FL smoker life insurance

Reader question:

What kind of price can I normally get for Miami FL smoker life insurance?

Rick

Hey, Rick,

The “Are you a smoker” question on life insurance application forms is one of the most important, and the most confusing. Since you are a smoker, your route is clear for you–you should answer yes. But what will happen then?

As a smoker, you open up a thousand new ways to become ill and to put your life at risk, and the Miami FL smoker life insurance company takes that into mind. Although you may be perfectly healthy right now, things such as smoking and chewing tobacco compromise your health so much that it is almost certain you will have some kind of problem in the future. So most companies treat you, essentially, as if the problem was already here: they shunt you down into the sub standard Miami smoker life insurance policy.

Sub standard has a different meaning in life insurance than it does in every day life. It doesn’t cover you less, but it does cost a lot more; sometimes three times of much. Now, you’re general health and other habits will also impact that, but basically, if you have to buy Miami FL smoker life insurance, you’re already locked in for a high price.

Miami FL cheap term life insurance

Reader question:

Can I get Miami FL term life insurance cheap?

Gloria

Great question, Gloria.

Actually, Miami FL cheap term life insurance is probably the easiest thing you can get (unless you have some medical/smoking/etc. complications, that is). Term life insurance is one of the cheapest kinds of insurance there is, and one of the reasons for this is because it doesn’t have a savings or cash value part to it, meaning that you can’t borrow against it in the future if you need money. But that’s fine, right? With the savings you’ll make by buying Miami FL term life insurance cheap, you’ll be able to save on your own.

Another thing that you can get with Miami FL cheap term life insurance is a guaranteed rate. You can pick an amount of time that you would like to guarantee your rate for, and the end price will depend on how long you need the term plan for, along with a few other things.

Term life insurance is best to get when you’re young, since the older you get the more likely it is that you will have medical problems. So go get a quote for Miami FL cheap term life insurance–while you’re still healthy.

Compare Miami life insurance rates

Reader question:

I’m 25 and looking for my first life insurance police. My husband says I should compare Miami life insurance rates. What’s the point of that? They’re all cheap, aren’t they?

Gabriela

People seem to think that, Gabriela.

And you know what? At your age, they’re mostly like. Unless you have some rare condition that hits you when you’re young, or your overweight, a smoker, or many other things that affect your policy, the sheer fact of your age practically guarantees you good health.

Because of that you will probably get a very cheap quote, even if you don’t compare Miami life insurance rates, just because you’re so young. But while you’re quote may be cheap initially, many companies who give out surprisingly cheap quotes don’t actually provide all the coverage that they claim to. At the same time, other companies will give you a cheap quote but this quote will rise as you age. This is why you need to compare Miami life insurance rates, so that you can find a company that will not only offer you excellent life insurance coverage, but that will also provide you with the abilities to lock your rate, to convert your policy, and so on.

Buy Miami Florida term life insurance online

Reader question:

Can you buy Miami Florida term life insurance online?

Alison

Thanks for asking, Alison.

Sure you can. Now that you can explore every corner of your imagination on the internet, many insurance companies are exploiting this convenience and bringing their quotes and policies straight to you. If you buy Miami Florida term life insurance online, then you will probably both save time and money–not just because you aren’t wasting money on gas and agent fees, but because not only do companies save money from selling policies online, savings which they can later confer to all customers, but several companies also discount policies which were purchased online.

You can buy Miami Florida term life insurance online often with a lot more information than you would get offline. Offline, you tend to rely on your agent or salesperson to tell you what you need to know, but in these cases details can be left out, both purposely and because of human error. If you shop online, then you can see your rates right before you and also find plenty of information about the companies and how much insurance you really need.

take care,

Fashun.
